The narrative of Abandoned revolves around Kidnapping.
To sum up the film its about a women called Mary Walsh who drops off her boyfriend outside the hospital to go in for a check up on his knee while she parks the car. When she comes back to get her boyfriend, he is no where to be found. She trys to search the hospital and tell the police, but no one has seen him. This makes everyone think Mary is lieing. she must not only find her missing boyfriend, but prove her sanity as well
The Protagonist is Mary Walsh and is fallible and has a 'Achilles Heel' which is her boyfriend who is the antagonist.
The title of the film represents Mary as she is abandoned by her boyfriend.
Mary is out of her comfort zone because she believes that her boyfriend has gone missing which leads her to become paranoid, then makes her go partially insane and weak.
There is another antagonist which is an old man who has connections with her boyfriend who makes Mary believe he has her boyfriend and the only way to get him back is to give him 10 million dollars from the bank in which she works.This is how he manipulates Mary.
The film builds up tension by switching into the security camera to show her moving around the hospital searching for her boyfriend.
