I am Number Four

‘I am Number Four’

To sum up the film it’s about a boy called John Smith, a 15-year-old alien from the planet Lorien. Their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters but they can only be killed in numerical order, and Number Four is next on the list (John Smith).

The Protagonist is John Smith and his Guardian Henri and the Antagonist is Hadley / Bernie Kosar

The title of the film represents the whole film as it’s called ‘I am Number Four’ and he is number Four so it represents him.

John as only recently figured out his powers and everyday he is finding out new powers and what will make him stronger, this make him feel like he doesn’t know himself and makes him become shy. With John also he can’t ever reveal his real identity which disables him to show his true emotions.

There is another antagonist who is Mark James, Sarah Hart’s (John’s girlfriend) ex boyfriend, who tries to ruin John’s life by pulling pranks and trying to split up him and Sarah.  But by the end of the film he becomes a Protagonist by helping out John.

The film builds up tension by when there is tension in the film they cut to different characters of the film to see how they are reacting to what is going on.
